Meet Paul Buck
A seasoned hospitality executive and consultant, Paul’s leadership journey spans Patina Restaurant Group, Union Square Hospitality Group, and Restaurant Associates.
As Managing Partner with Union Square Hospitality Group, Paul worked alongside Danny Meyer and Executive Chef Gabriel Kreuther at The Modern at MoMA, where the team earned a Michelin Star and multiple James Beard Awards.
At Patina Restaurant Group, he collaborated with Founder Joachim Splichal to oversee operations for many of the West Coast’s most celebrated venues — including the LA Music Center, Hollywood Bowl, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, San Francisco War Memorial, LACMA, and Descanso Gardens.
Earlier in his career with Restaurant Associates in New York, Paul held leadership roles at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and The Harvard Club of New York City, while also managing catering programs for major national sporting events. After his tenure with M&T Bank, he returned to Restaurant Associates to lead catering sales for large-scale championships — including the US Open Tennis Championships, US Open Golf Championships, and The Ryder Cup — overseeing multimillion-dollar hospitality programs that required year-long planning cycles, complex logistics, and seamless execution.
In addition to his consulting work, Paul serves as President of SoCal Squash, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and official district of US Squash, leading efforts to grow participation and community engagement across Southern California — including programs and youth initiatives leading up to the LA28 Olympic Games.
Today, through BUCK Hospitality Consulting, Paul advises clients seeking measurable growth, stronger leadership, and enduring excellence in hospitality.
